Under the Tuscan Sun

It´s monday – and time for a little daydreaming! I´ve been trawling the net lately to find the perfect spot for our family summerholiday next year in Tuscany and have been looking at so many villas and farmhouses for rent. And then last week I found this fantastic property La Bandita via A Cup of Jo – which really sums up everything I was looking for – except the price tag! We didn´t book this one – but I like to have it bookmarked – for daydreaming or a very special occasion someday – and maybe you do too!

  2. I was wondering if you have any reliable travel rental sites you can refer to me. We wanted to find something in New York but unfortunately I was discouraged after trying homeaway.com because most of the listings on it turned out to be run by shaddy individuals. We are trying this out for the first time, but we are finding the process a bit intimidating. Would love to hear your experience with vacation rentals.

  3. Dear Nydia – we ended up renting via a danish agent – because it was the easiest way. I only just discovered Homeaway – but have no experiences with it yet.
    Regarding N.Y I can´t help you but my experience is that Facebook and other networks will often be helpfull in your search – if you tell people what you are looking for. Good luck.

    I actually will recommend home-away. Two times me and a large number of family members – 9 persons- enjoyed really nice stays in wonderfull houses rented via Home-away. First one was in a nature reserve on Mallorca. The past summer, was on Sicily. See a few shots from Sicily on my blog(mostly about illustration;-) if you care. http://www.lisbetgertz.com/da/blog/
