New rug & new wishes
Ever since I´ve posted about this lovely flat – I´ve been looking for a nice ethnic kilim inspired rug for our flat – and today was my lucky day! I visited The Vic Shop here in Aarhus and bought the beaty above right away. I also would have liked to take all of the Tom Dixon designs above home with me – especially the wooden dinning table and bench. So I´ve better get back to work now and start saving! Take a tour around The Vic Shop here – and have a lovely Halloween weekend!
Wooden Birds
In my last post I suggested that you add some animals with your Autumn decorations – and I took my own advice and ordered this wooden Chaffinch to the left, made by hand by british illustrator Matt Sewell. A tiny piece of art if you ask me – isn´t it special?
Cutest teapot ever!
Yesterday I spotted some ceramic pieces from a collaboration between ceramist Louise Gaardmann & illustrator Anders Anhøj from Venom Yum. And their teapot has to be the custest teapot ever! Also check out their Brushies. It´s all on my wishlist! And now back to work – I have so many great projects to finnish before the summerholiday and I´m working day & night right now – so my shop will be updated later…
Rooms from Rum Magazine
I read the May issue of Rum Magazine yesterday and just loved every page and every photo – it´s such an inspiring magazine and I hope it never folds. All these rooms are from Rum´s website – and now also on my wishlist. I´ll be back next week – but my shop is always open you know!
Morten Buch Paintings
Walking by a huge painting by Morten Buch the other day – made me remember how much I love his work. I discovered him this autumn when I passed one of his screenprints hanging at the local hospital. The photo in the middle shows one of Morten Buchs paintings in situ – it´s from a feature in Boligliv from this flat with an amazing art collection. You can see more of his work here and here I´m really inspired to start painting again when I look at his work – what do you think??
Envelop – illustrated cotton goodies
For a while I´ve had my eyes on Envelop – a Belgium company that produces made-to-order textile products. And with their new & awesome selection of graphic prints from illustrators around the world – it´s time to share! I tried to select a few of my favorites here – but have a look yourself in their shop if you are looking for unique and cool designed textiles . And if you are a designer or illustrator – you can design and sell your own textiles via their online store.
Does it get any better than this?
A new Must-read blog!
It seems like the the Danes have FINALLY discovered the joy of blogs of blogging – and the number of new danish blogs have exploded over the last months. The new blog by Claus Dalby is one of the best news! – especially if you love flowers and gardening like me. When I grew up Claus Dalby was the local magican in my home town – and since then he has used his magic powers to create this garden & home above here in Århus. I love to walk past his place as often as possible because it´s so spetacular and beautiful. And the fact that the house above is also the home of his publishing house Klematis, which publish numerous books about gardening, crafts & childrens books – makes it all truely magical – and it´s all on my wishlist! Enjoy! Photo by Claus Dalby
