Current Colour Crush

At the moment I’m completely smitten with the colours and details in Julia Rofman’s handwoven beaded bracelets.  I’m just learning how to use a bead loom -  but not sure I have the patience to add the last finishing touches like tassel ends and silver claps – so I’m also adding Julia’s creations to my wishlist – just in case!

Wearable French Eye candy

Ohhhh these silk scarfs by french design duo Milleneufcentquatrevingtquatre – makes my heart beat a little bit faster. I can totally see myself wearing one of their pieces! So if one of my dear readers or dear Santa wishes to spend 295$ on me – then you can find all their designs here… and I promise to wear it every single day or to frame it! Aren´t they just gorgeous and totally inspiring?

Agates – to hang & to hold

I have a quite a thing for agates ever since I saw Li Edelkoorts trendtalk – Earth Matters last year – they kind of remind you how precious mother Earth is.

#1 Art Works on Paper – exclusive one-off marbeling prints. Handprinted by Pernilles Snedker Hansen, who also makes marbelled wooden floors.
#2 my recent purchase, amathyst necklace from Stone & Honey.
#3 Agate cheese plates from Jayson Home via Creature Comforts.
Also these images of Church windows with agates from Grossmünster in Zurich by Sigmar Polke are worth checking out!

Nordic Knit – Pillow love

Autumn has arrived here in Denmark – and it´s time to spend more time indoors and time to cozy up your home with blankets and candles – and maybe also with these lovely knitted pillows in wool. They are named New Nordic Knit and are designed by Sen-Sen, and can be found in their webshop soon. I immediately spotted these pillows when I looked at photos from the trendzones at Formland this summer. You can catch a glimpse of the trendzones at The Sweet Spot who also is behind the photo above, from the trendzone House of Happiness, created by Eckmann Alive Studio. I love the colours and the materials used. I´m a little slow when it comes to blogging these days – due to busy days at the studio – so please visit Spagat´s Facebook page – where I share bits and pieces on a more regular basis right now.

Uhmmnnn… Autumn

Yesterday I packed my summer clothes away and dug out my winter and autumn clothes – I´m always looking forward to cover up again with cosy scarves and sweaters – and actually like the crisp autumn weather and all the colours. Right nowd I´m inspired by the styling and styles from Rabens Saloner´s new collection. See their new stylish catalogue here – and get the styles here. ( I´m not going to write anything about how fast this summer has passed – and that I really can´t believe it´s September now!)

Nice to have

Everything is on sale right now – and I´m really not a good sales shopper – I tend to buy things I like when I see them – and used to return from the sales with white shirts – (which I never wear) and scarfes (which I always wear). But lately I´ve started to ask myself if an item is a Nice to Have or a Need to Have which saves me a lot of money and a lot of wrong buys . I just browsed my favorite shop and webshop BA10 – and I found a lot of great stuff that would be Nice to Have…Maybe some of it is a Need to Have for you?

Lovely Litographs

These new litographs by artist Benny Dröscher are now on my wishlist! I love the colours and compositions in this series of 4. You can find them all here at Charlotte Fogh Contemporary - my favorite local gallery of Danish and International contemporary art, based here in Aarhus. And if you are looking for some action in Aarhus this weekend – our street is throwing a big street party -  Mejlgade for Mangfoldighed. Have a great weekend!

My Orange Wish List

My current orange colour crush is adding these items to my wish list! The striped dress is from H&M and the rest is from the nice Dutch webshop Wannekes. Well in fact the wonderfull striped pillows have been on my wishlist for ages – with the rest of the products designed by the Dutch design duo Scholten & Baijings. And the cute nesting dolls Circus by Swedish illustrator Ingela P. Arrhenius makes me wish that I had a toddler in the house.

Love, Peace & Joy

Our holiday starts now – and I send you my warmest wishes for a peaceful and merry Christmas – and a Happy New Year full of Love, Joy and Luck!

I´ll be back again blogging around the 10th of January – and my Etsy shop is closed untill then. xxx Sidsel

Wanted: New Studio

As much as we love our current studio – we have started the search for something  a little bit bigger and brighter. My wishlist looks something like this – so if you know a place like this in the center of Aarhus – PLEASE let us know! And as you can see I´m quite obsessed with big tables and benches at the moment. Top photos are from the november issue of Rum – the others have been sitting in my inspiration folder for so long I can´t remember where I found them.
