Travel Views

Yesterday I received a newsletter with some wonderful views on travel and vacation – so I decided to combine some of them with my photos from our recent trip to Thailand. So here´s some pure & sunny eyecandy for you. Have a happy weekend!

My Christmas Holiday

My Christmas holiday is coming up real soon – and I imagine it will look a little like the above – this year. I always do a little photo research before visiting new places – and this year I found the photos here via Pinterestyou can find them here. I really can´t wait to see the North of Thailand and to see a tiger in close-up – and to spend the last week at the beach – swimming and relaxing.

Back from Berlin

I´m back from a warm and sunny weekend in Berlin – such a treat! This time around I did a lot of seightseeing – and very little shopping. Berlin is such a great place to visit with kids with all the sights, museums, playgrounds and cafees around. MUST GO BACK SOON!

Bis Bald Berlin!

I´m going on a long weekendtrip to Berlin now with my husband and daughter. My daughter wishes to see the dinosaurs here – and the remains of the wall! I wish to spend some time here – and to see this exhibition. And my husband will be reading Berlin Berlin written by my sweet friend & host in Berlin.
Bis Bald!

A Casa Franciotto

Just went through my photos from our holiday in Italy – almost self torture – since I´m back to work again. But the place we stayed is too good not to share so here we go. We spent a week at Agriturismo a Franciotto, located 9 km outside Lucca. Surrounded by olive- and grape fields and with the most wonderful view of Tuscan hills & houses and Lucca in the distance… The owner Laura was so sweet and helpful and her daughter Silvia cooked us some tasty traditional Tuscan meals  some nights… My mum had invited us all – and the place was perfect for 2 families with kids and a seperate house for an extra family or grandparents. I miss that view, the silence and the sun!

My Italian Summer Colour Week

Here´s a glimpse of my lovely & lazy Italian holiday – which I´ve just returned from. I decided to take the photos for The Summer Colour Week with my Iphone and Instagram app.  1. YELLOW – fresh figs served on our terrace. 2 PINK – old signs in Lucca. 3. BLUE – our private pool and wonderful view at Casa Franciotto – a place I can highly recommend! 4. RAINBOW – street in the old center of Lucca. 5. RED – Italian graffiti. And now back to work!

Arrivederci!

I´m off to Italy for a small vacation under the Tuscan sun – and I´ll be back next week stuffed with gelati, foccacia & pasta! I plan to get inspired by Poppytalk´s summer colours week while I´m away – and will share my results here next week – it´s always fun with a little photo assignment – you should join too. Arrivederci!

Istanbul

I´m back at the studio after a great trip to Istanbul – and I´m completely talked out after spending 5 days with 5 fun and talkative female friends. We had so much fun and all loved the place. The weather was a bit chilly and windy – but that didn´t stop us in any way. Here´s some impressions from my trip.

Back from Bologna

I´m back from my little trip to Bologna and the Childrens book fair. Loved visiting Bologna for the first time – such a nice city -  and have returned very full of delicious Italian food and inspiration. There was so many great illustrations and I´m really inspired to start making collages again. I also got to enjoy the sun and Italian spring – and wish you all a sunny weekend!

Ciao Bologna & Books

Another great thing about March is that it includes a trip to Bologna Childrens Book Fair. I´m so exited about going because it´s something I´ve wanted to do for the last 5 years. Imagine beeing surrounded by the smell of books, top-class illustrations, tons of Childrens book and Spagetti Bolognese in a gorgeous Italian city – It´s a dream come true! If you have any great recommendations about what to see and where to eat in Bologna – please let me know!? Above is a selection of the 2010 prize winners – more info here.
