Stay warm – Look Cool

I´m currently adding the final touch to a webshop design I´ve been working on. And this involves some research, lots of temptations and inspiration – I´ve picked some looks I would happily wear right now to stay warm and look cool – and I´m now the happy owner of the Poncho on the second photo. Photo 1 & 3 by Graumann, 2 & 4 by Heartmade – most of it can be found at Bisgaard in Aarhus – or when the webshop opens – I´ll let you know! The webshop is now online – find it here BA10.dk.

Yesterday my first illustration for Alt for Damerne was published – and it was nice to see my own name in the credits – since I´m the kind of person who always checks out the credits before I start reading. This one was to illustrate how you can replace your negative thoughts with positive thoughts to get a better self-esteem. Personally I´ve been doing this for some years now – so it was a great topic to work with.  I really focus on the good things in life which I hope my blog reflects- – and I try to surround myself with people who do the same – and it works – because you are reading this :)

Illustrations for sale!

There´s a lot of flow in my worklife right now – and lots of great new jobs coming in. I´ve just made 2 illustrations for a big Danish womens magazine – and I´m also working on 2 big projects that involves wallpaper design, artwork  & illustration. So I´ve been looking in my archives lately for bits and pieces from the past – and it´s been kind of fun to mix something old with something new (and something blue) – like this illustration here. And if you would like to create illustrations too – have a look at Illustration friday, a weekly creative outlet designed to challenge participants creatively every week. I wish you all a happy weekend with lots of fun & flow!

Wanted: New Studio

As much as we love our current studio – we have started the search for something  a little bit bigger and brighter. My wishlist looks something like this – so if you know a place like this in the center of Aarhus – PLEASE let us know! And as you can see I´m quite obsessed with big tables and benches at the moment. Top photos are from the november issue of Rum – the others have been sitting in my inspiration folder for so long I can´t remember where I found them.

Autumn Holidays

This is my last day at the office before our Autumn Holidays next week. I´ll spend next week in Edinburgh and really look forward to this holiday and to visiting Edinburgh for the first time. We have started to read Harry Potter for our daughter to get in the right mood and I´m so ready for a nice hotel room, High Tea, shopping and walking around with my camera. I´ll share some photos when I get back in a weeks time – and wish you all a great week – holiday or not.
As a small gift to my lovely readers I´ve turned my illustration above ( without text) into a free desktop wallpaper. Enjoy!

Current moodboard

We are busy cleaning and tidying our studio today – before we open our studio doors this weekend – when Line participates in Spor Kunsten. She was in the local paper yesterday here. And for those of you who cannot come and see us  – I´m sharing a glimpse of my current moodboard as a sneak peek. I´ll be in the studio on Sunday – chatting, making coffee and selling my plexiglas decorations and jewellery. See you!

Autumn Colours

Seems like autumn is sneaking up on us now – so I just took a moment to capture some of the colours that surround me right now. From my desk, my walk to work, and our pear tree outside the studio. Remember that you can come inside the studio this weekend – Saturday & Sunday from 11 -17 o´clock. See you.

Working from my dinning table

I´m currently working from my dinning table – due to all the deadlines in my designstudio. Working from home makes it a little more pleasent to work day and night for a while. So here are a few photos of lovely and inspiring dinning tables from my inspiration folder – hope they will inspire you too! I´m trying to find out where the photos are from – the top photo is from Rum magazine, for the second I need  help – maybe from Decor8?. The last photo is from this home shot by Katrine Martensen-Larsen via Stylefiles

Back in business

I´m almost back in business – and almost back to school – since my daughter starts school tomorrow! So this week will be focused on a good start for her at school- and a good start for me at the studio. And it seems very appropriate to share this poster, which I designed for Juniorbusiness.dk some months ago – also because it made a small apperance on TV2 yesterday morning – watch the clip here. The alphabet poster has both CAPITAL & lower case letters – and the vowels are set in red to seperate them from the consonants. I also designed a poster with numbers – and a baby poster with bright colours and a Teletubbies feel. All posters are printed on thick  A3 paper – with a white border and fits the Ribba frames from IKEA perfectly. You can buy them all at Babybusiness´netshop - for only DKK 125,-  for all 3 – or DKK 50,- for one.
