Working from my dinning table

I´m currently working from my dinning table – due to all the deadlines in my designstudio. Working from home makes it a little more pleasent to work day and night for a while. So here are a few photos of lovely and inspiring dinning tables from my inspiration folder – hope they will inspire you too! I´m trying to find out where the photos are from – the top photo is from Rum magazine, for the second I need  help – maybe from Decor8?. The last photo is from this home shot by Katrine Martensen-Larsen via Stylefiles

Back in business

I´m almost back in business – and almost back to school – since my daughter starts school tomorrow! So this week will be focused on a good start for her at school- and a good start for me at the studio. And it seems very appropriate to share this poster, which I designed for Juniorbusiness.dk some months ago – also because it made a small apperance on TV2 yesterday morning – watch the clip here. The alphabet poster has both CAPITAL & lower case letters – and the vowels are set in red to seperate them from the consonants. I also designed a poster with numbers – and a baby poster with bright colours and a Teletubbies feel. All posters are printed on thick  A3 paper – with a white border and fits the Ribba frames from IKEA perfectly. You can buy them all at Babybusiness´netshop - for only DKK 125,-  for all 3 – or DKK 50,- for one.

Finalmente!

Finally it looks & feels right outside the studio – with flowering pear-trees, lunch in the sun and a camera to capture it all… I hope the sun is shining on you too. And now back to work with lots of projects to finish before my trip to Berlin this weekend.

Visit & workshop

One of the things I enjoy most about beeing my own boss – is the fact that not 2 days are alike. Yesterday we had a visit from 13 young students and their art teacher in our studio. Line and I both made a small talk about how we work and how we came to do what we do. Afterwards the girls created their own Vision boards about their future – and it was such a delightfull experience to see how many thoughts that can be transformed in very short time when you work visually – and I really enjoyed teaching this class. This weekend I plan to finally open my shop – so stay tuned and have a great weekend. Photo via Iphone.

Karen Nyholm Glas Jewellery

I recently designed a small folder for glass-artist Karen Nyholm. It features her new line of glass jewellery – and I´m just totally smitten with the wide range of colours she uses – and soon you will see one of her Kaviar-necklaces around my neck! If you are smitten too – you should check out her new online shop here - and also don´t forget to check out all the other great glass objects Karen Nyholm and her husband Ned Cantrell designs.

Åbne Døre i weekenden

Our studio will be open to the public this weekend, as part of the event Åbne Døre – we hope to see a lot of new and old friends for coffe, art & design.

Just Play

After a tough work-out today with my personal trainer - I just needed to play with some prints and colours before I started to work. Here´s the result of my play – the result of the workout will show later! What do you do to just play?

Details

If the article in Boligliv from our studio and homes made you want to read the article in English and see more photos  – then you should head over to decor8. Yesterday Holly shared a wonderful post with some additonal photos and a few bits from the article with her decor8 readers. Read her post here. I especially enjoyed reading all the comments about how many of you who wish to share a studio with someone – and I can highly recommend doing so!

Feature in Boligliv

Our studio and homes are featured in the March 2010  issue of the Danish magazine Boligliv – We hope you´ll enjoy it – and will feel welcome inside our studio and homes. And yes off course it´s always so tidy!

New beginnings

Somethings in life are worth waiting for, like springflowers, Prince Charming and new websites. I can´t tell you how happy I am to welcome you to my new website – I´ve just moved in – so it´s still a little messy – with lots of work to be done – but it´s so much bigger and brighter – dont´you think?
Please be patient while I finish all the little touches.
