Happy Spring Reminder

This weekend I discovered how nature has exploded into colours, flowers and greens again – I really need to get out of the office more often! Well here´s a small reminder to myself and everybody else from my photoshoot this weekend.

Cupcake Workshop

Some weeks ago my daughter and I spend a lovely afternoon at Cupcakefabrikken here in Århus. We attended a workshop, where the freshly baked cupcakes were ready to be decorated with fondant and frosting in all the colours of the rainbow – combined with all sorts of decoration and eatable glitter. Since I hate baking I thought this was the perfect way to “bake something” with my daughter and we had a lot of fun as you can tell from our results. I highly recommend a workshop at Cupcakefabrikken if you live near Aarhus – and the cakes were off course not only pretty but also very delicious – and sweet!

Feels like Spring

It feels like spring today here in Aarhus – so here´s a photo to celebrate the light right now – and the days awaiting! Enjoy.

Travel Views

Yesterday I received a newsletter with some wonderful views on travel and vacation – so I decided to combine some of them with my photos from our recent trip to Thailand. So here´s some pure & sunny eyecandy for you. Have a happy weekend!

Autumn Colours

I´m a little short for words these days – nothing´s wrong – I´m just rethinking my little space here on the Internet – so just enjoy the autumn colours while I´m quiet.

Back from Berlin

I´m back from a warm and sunny weekend in Berlin – such a treat! This time around I did a lot of seightseeing – and very little shopping. Berlin is such a great place to visit with kids with all the sights, museums, playgrounds and cafees around. MUST GO BACK SOON!

A Casa Franciotto

Just went through my photos from our holiday in Italy – almost self torture – since I´m back to work again. But the place we stayed is too good not to share so here we go. We spent a week at Agriturismo a Franciotto, located 9 km outside Lucca. Surrounded by olive- and grape fields and with the most wonderful view of Tuscan hills & houses and Lucca in the distance… The owner Laura was so sweet and helpful and her daughter Silvia cooked us some tasty traditional Tuscan meals  some nights… My mum had invited us all – and the place was perfect for 2 families with kids and a seperate house for an extra family or grandparents. I miss that view, the silence and the sun!

My Italian Summer Colour Week

Here´s a glimpse of my lovely & lazy Italian holiday – which I´ve just returned from. I decided to take the photos for The Summer Colour Week with my Iphone and Instagram app.  1. YELLOW – fresh figs served on our terrace. 2 PINK – old signs in Lucca. 3. BLUE – our private pool and wonderful view at Casa Franciotto – a place I can highly recommend! 4. RAINBOW – street in the old center of Lucca. 5. RED – Italian graffiti. And now back to work!

Have a fun weekend

Wishing you a weekend full of fun and colours

Collecting Feathers

I´m collecting feathers from our pet budgie. And I´m completely in awe of the amount and the variety of feathers it has/had. My favorite is the yellow ones with the black dot – isn´t it fancy? If you like collections or to collect -then you should check out Lisa Congdon´s wonderful project a Collection a Day – which has now been published as a book also, See it here. Lisa´s old blog was one of the first blogs I started to read back in 2005 – she is a wonderful, brave and talented lady – and I think you´ll like her too – here´s Lisa´s homepage.

Another project I´m working on is to make a portrait like these of our budgie – but it´s not an easy task! The artprints above are made by Leila Jeffreys, and measure 99 x 76cm- and can be found via the Australian Gallery Iain Dawson.
