Spring & Easter deco – the easy way
Here´s some photos of my little quick weekend project in the summerhouse last week. Please fell free to try this at home – here are 4 simple steps.
1. Pick a few branches in a garden or park nearby 2. Get some plexiglas ornaments in my shop 3. Decorate branches with plexiglas ornaments.
4. Kick back and enjoy the colours of spring – even before it has sprung.
And if you decorate with flowers like above - you can just leave them hanging because they will last untill next year – but you might want to change the branches now and then!
Entering Spring
- a warm welcome to March. I hereby declare it Spring time – at least on my blog! I´m not a big fan of February – but March on the contrary means Birthdays, Spring, Parties and Colours – so expect more of all that here for the next weeks to come. At home I enjoy my giant tulips and my wooden bird by Matt Sewell so much – you can get your own bird here.

New rug & new wishes
Ever since I´ve posted about this lovely flat – I´ve been looking for a nice ethnic kilim inspired rug for our flat – and today was my lucky day! I visited The Vic Shop here in Aarhus and bought the beaty above right away. I also would have liked to take all of the Tom Dixon designs above home with me – especially the wooden dinning table and bench. So I´ve better get back to work now and start saving! Take a tour around The Vic Shop here – and have a lovely Halloween weekend!
Autumn decorations
Here´s a few simple ideas on how to decorate for fall – and you really can’t go wrong because all the colours match so well! So go for a walk – pick a few branches – and add some kind of animal and you are all set! The pictures are from this weekend which also included a visit from friends who cooked us a 5 meal course in the summerhouse – and the most amazing night sky including 2 falling stars. I´m so ready for a new week and for my wishes to come true…
My home office
Here´s a little glimpse from my “home office”. I´m still busy and working from home these days in the company of our new pet – Bernard the Budgie. Named after this cartoon. Guess I better get back to Line and the studio soon :) take care.
Black & white kitchens
This weekend we tore down most of our old kitchen in the summerhouse. We took down the upper cabinets which will be replaced with open shelves instead – and already now the room looks so much brighter and bigger – and I can´t wait for the final result! The pictures above are from my inspiration folder - I´m not sure where I found the photos apart from the bottom left, which is from Made a Mano´s website – I just love those big ceramic tiles! I took a lot of “before” pictures and plan to share the final result after the summerholidays.
Cool Kitchens & Ikea upgrades
I´m doing a lot of kitchen research these days, since we will renovate the kitchen in our summerhouse soon. Above is some clippings of my dream kitchens – but the actual kitchen project will be a small basic kitchen from Ikea. So I was very thrilled when I discovered the swedish companies Pickyliving and Studio10 – who both design nice kitchen cabinet doors that fit Ikea´s kitchen elements. And I spot a new trend here – since theres also another swedish company Bemz – that sells slipcovers for sofas & armchairs to fit the most popular models of IKEA. I think it´s such a clever concept – to take some very popular product and design an up-grade to it! & I wish I had come up with this idea!! It´s the stylish step-sister of Ikea-hacking I guess.
Happy Hours
Our home has been full of guest, presents, flowers, food and joy over the weekend – and I´m just sitting here feeling so thankful. THANK YOU!
And my upgrade to version 4.0 feels so good!
