Do you have a favorite child? – Illustration
Just before my summerholidays I made this illustration. It´s featured in this weeks Alt for Damerne magazine. The article asks the question ‘Do you have a favorite child?’ I guess many parents secretly do have a favorite child – and as a mother of a single child I´m not afraid of admitting that I have a favorite child – my one and only.
Happy Spring
Back from a very relaxing and sunny Easter Holiday at our summerhouse. And Spring has certainly sprung – and almost turned into summer during the last 5 days. Hope you all had a great time. My current colour crush is this orange above and my suntanned skin .)
Ciao Bologna & Books
Another great thing about March is that it includes a trip to Bologna Childrens Book Fair. I´m so exited about going because it´s something I´ve wanted to do for the last 5 years. Imagine beeing surrounded by the smell of books, top-class illustrations, tons of Childrens book and Spagetti Bolognese in a gorgeous Italian city – It´s a dream come true! I året første nummer af Alt for Damerne – kan du få gode råd om hvordan du slipper af med dit overtræk – hvis du har et! Jeg designede illustrationen inden jul – og synes layouteren har lavet et smukt stykke arbejde med at integrere illustration og text – alt imens jeg nød juleferien i Thailand. Skønt som tingene bare har kørt godt videre – imens jeg lå der i bølgen blå og slappede af.
This week I have a new illustration published - I love how the layouter used it in the magazine – and the fact that it was done while I was enjoying myself on the beach in Thailand. I wish for more cooperations like that this year.
Another illustration published
This week you can find another illustration by me in Alt for Damerne. The article is a great guide to learning if you are truely hungry or just eating for other reasons. Apparently you are hungry if you feel like eating a piece of whole grain bread or ryebread with cucumber or tomato – but not a piece of white bread with butter! Good thing to know – before or after - you eat your way through the Christmas Holidays!

Du ER god nok – illustration
Yesterday my first illustration for Alt for Damerne was published – and it was nice to see my own name in the credits – since I´m the kind of person who always checks out the credits before I start reading. This one was to illustrate how you can replace your negative thoughts with positive thoughts to get a better self-esteem. Personally I´ve been doing this for some years now – so it was a great topic to work with. I really focus on the good things in life which I hope my blog reflects- – and I try to surround myself with people who do the same – and it works – because you are reading this :)
Illustrations for sale!
There´s a lot of flow in my worklife right now – and lots of great new jobs coming in. I´ve just made 2 illustrations for a big Danish womens magazine – and I´m also working on 2 big projects that involves wallpaper design, artwork & illustration. So I´ve been looking in my archives lately for bits and pieces from the past – and it´s been kind of fun to mix something old with something new (and something blue) – like this illustration here. Autumn Holidays
This is my last day at the office before our Autumn Holidays next week. I´ll spend next week in Edinburgh and really look forward to this holiday and to visiting Edinburgh for the first time. We have started to read Harry Potter for our daughter to get in the right mood and I´m so ready for a nice hotel room, High Tea, shopping and walking around with my camera. I´ll share some photos when I get back in a weeks time – and wish you all a great week – holiday or not.
