Book Cover Inspiration #2
It´s been raining for the last 2 weeks now – so why not curl up with a good book and pretend it´s actually autumn, while we wait for the summer to come back? Or you can also just have a look at The Book Cover Archive which is an archive of book cover design and designers. It´s a place where you can easily spend way to much time browsing books – the only thing missing is the lovely smell of books and paper. This time I picked these blue and red covers – because it´s always a great match – and with some cream colours added – it´s even more delicious. Do you judge a book by it´s cover?
hyperactivitypography
I just received my copy of the book Hyperactivitypography – and love it to pieces (and plan to read it with my daughter to teach her typography) It´s sold out right now – but you can have a look here.
Package design
Opening a shop takes a little longer than expected – the products are ready – and the package design was done today – so tonight I´ll design the shop- and hopefully I´ll open it tomorrow. Stay tuned.
Karen Nyholm Glas Jewellery
I recently designed a small folder for glass-artist Karen Nyholm. It features her new line of glass jewellery – and I´m just totally smitten with the wide range of colours she uses – and soon you will see one of her Kaviar-necklaces around my neck! If you are smitten too – you should check out her new online shop here - and also don´t forget to check out all the other great glass objects Karen Nyholm and her husband Ned Cantrell designs.

Book Cover Inspiration #1
I recently discovered The Book Cover Archive which is an archive of book cover design and designers. It´s a place where you can easily spend way to much time browsing books - like in a real bookstore – the only thing missing is the lovely smell of books and paper. This time I picked these very graphic covers with lots of contrasts, hand lettering and simple yet strong looks. Don´t they look tempting? And yes I really think you can judge a book by it´s cover!
