Here´s a little glimpse from my “home office”. I´m still busy and working from home these days in the company of our new pet – Bernard the Budgie. Named after this cartoon. Guess I better get back to Line and the studio soon :) take care.

Weekend & Wanderlust

I´m sooooo ready for a relaxing late summer weekend – I just love september with all it´s bright colours and crisp air. At the market the other day I picked up lots of berries & plums and also the artichoke flower above. The artichoke flower made my daughter go “whauw” and it also send me down memory lane to when I first saw a field of flowering artichokes in Florence that made me go “whauh” back then. And I was hit quite hard by a strong wish to travel again soon – to discover new fruits and flavours and to see new things for the first time. All this wanderlust also made me remember Troy M. Working from my dinning table

I´m currently working from my dinning table – due to all the deadlines in my designstudio. Working from home makes it a little more pleasent to work day and night for a while. So here are a few photos of lovely and inspiring dinning tables from my inspiration folder – hope they will inspire you too! I´m trying to find out where the photos are from – the top photo is from Rum magazine, for the second I need  help – maybe from Decor8?. Book Cover Inspiration #2

It´s been raining for the last 2 weeks now – so why not curl up with a good book and pretend it´s actually autumn, while we wait for the summer to come back? Or you can also just have a look at The Book Cover Archive which is an archive of book cover design and designers. It´s a place where you can easily spend way to much time browsing books – the only thing missing is the lovely smell of books and paper. This time I picked these blue and red covers – because it´s always a great match – and with some cream colours added – it´s even more delicious. Do you judge a book by it´s cover?

Owls & Fashion Vermin

I found this spread from the book “Like I Give a Frock” Fashion Forecast and Meaningless Misguidance , by Michi Girl – over here. It caught my eye because of the cute owl sketches – eventhough I still love owls and always will – I´m so fed up with them right now. And the text on the spread describes precisely how I feel about owls at the moment – owls have followed deers and have simply become fashion vermin!

Fashion vermin. noun. a once-cute animal that has become far too popular for its own good by infiltrating everything from T-shirts, earrings, brooches, knickers, logos, leggings, and every other conceivable piece of fashion fodder. Recent additions to the not- so-endangered spieces list include bluebirds, owls, squirrels, bunnies ….

New earrings in my shop

I finally found time to update my shop with my new plexiglas jewelry. All earings are made of plexiglas mounted on silver plated gold. The tiny hearts on loops cost 25 US dollars. The flowers on hoops come in both rosa & nude and cost 30 US dollars. All jewelry come in a small jewelry box.

As you might have noticed I´m a sucker for great mood- and inspirationboards. I often make them when I start working on a new project – and think they are such a great visual tool. So I just have to share these inspirationboard & still life vignettes created by the supertalented and always inspiring Maria Alexandra Vettese. Summer Flowers

First day at school went really well – and when we came back home after school we had a water damage in the flat again – for the third time in 3 years! So I´m glad I´m still very zen after our holidays in our summerhouse – which I spent assembling an entire IKEA kitchen in the sun – yes it can be very relaxing actually!  I´ll share the final result later when all the details are in place. For a change I took very few photos during a holiday- but here are some of my favorite summer flowers from around the house. Enjoy.

Back in business

I´m almost back in business – and almost back to school – since my daughter starts school tomorrow! So this week will be focused on a good start for her at school- and a good start for me at the studio. And it seems very appropriate to share this poster, which I designed for Juniorbusiness.dk some months ago – also because it made a small apperance on TV2 yesterday morning – watch the clip here. The alphabet poster has both CAPITAL & lower case letters – and the vowels are set in red to seperate them from the consonants. I also designed a poster with numbers – and a baby poster with bright colours and a Teletubbies feel. All posters are printed on thick  A3 paper – with a white border and fits the Ribba frames from IKEA perfectly.
