Current Colour Crush

I´m so into Pinterest at the moment – it´s the perfect place to collect eye candy – and to keep track of your new finds. And it´s been quite surprising to discover that I´m liking a lot of orange tones at the moment – since it used to be one of my least favorite colours. But combined with grey, chalk and sand colours – it´s just a perfect combination – don´t you think?

Happy Spring

Back from a very relaxing and sunny Easter Holiday at our summerhouse. And Spring has certainly sprung – and almost turned into summer during the last 5 days. Hope you all had a great time. My current colour crush is this orange above and my suntanned skin .)

DIY Easter Eggs – part 2 – free download

It´s time to wish you all a Happy Easter – and time again to share my free download with DIY Easter Eggs & Rabbits. They are made with some of my repeat patterns and are super simple to make.
Print them out on thick A4 paper – cut them out and mix & match. Glue 2 eggs together with a piece of sewing tread in the middle – or make a string of eggs – et voila! The rabbits are a bit more tricky – so I´ve made a front and back version of them. Cut the front first – glue it to the back of the rabbit and cut the back afterwards.
You can download the front here and the back here. Have fun!
For private use only. Please spread the word, respect my copyright and share your result on Flickr or your blog!

My Easter download has become quite a tradition now – and have been spread world wide on the web. I love to see all the different & creative ways they have been used – here´s some examples from Denmark, France, Germany and USA.

DIY Easter eggs – part 1

Some DIY ideas are just so great that you have to try them out at once! So after I shared this DIY with masking tape from Creature Comfort on Twitter the other day – I went home to make my own version with my daughter. It was a big succes – so I´ll just share it here also so you will not miss it. You can find all the instructions here at Creature Comforts blog. We used Parchment Paper – but I think baking paper will work even better. And our final results was put directly on the window glass – and the left overs was cut into little cute stickers. Have fun!

Happy Easter Holidays

Happy Easter to all the lucky ones who start their holidays today! My studio and my shop will stay open untill wensday – so place your order before then and I´ll do my best to send your orders in time for you to decorate before easter.

My Sweet Spots

Today I´m sharing my local sweet spots on Laura´s wonderful blog The Sweetspot.dk. I´m so happy Laura asked me to share my favorite spots with her readers – because I love her blog and the things she shares. We haven´t met yet – but she is my total styletwin when it comes to interior design, crafts and trends – so make sure to check out her sweet blog – where you also can find a translator if you don´t read Danish. My clever intern Anja, has put together a Google Map with all my Sweet Spot´s in Aarhus – which you can find right here. I plan to keep it updated with fresh new finds & old favorites. Enjoy!

Spring & Easter deco – the easy way

Here´s some photos of my little quick weekend project in the summerhouse last week. Please fell free to try this at home – here are 4 simple steps.
1. Pick a few branches in a garden or park nearby  2. Get some plexiglas ornaments in my shop   3. Decorate branches with plexiglas ornaments.
4. Kick back and enjoy the colours of spring – even before it has sprung.
And if you decorate with flowers like above - you can just leave them hanging because they will last untill next year – but you might want to change the branches now and then!

Back from Bologna

I´m back from my little trip to Bologna and the Childrens book fair. Loved visiting Bologna for the first time – such a nice city -  and have returned very full of delicious Italian food and inspiration. There was so many great illustrations and I´m really inspired to start making collages again. I also got to enjoy the sun and Italian spring – and wish you all a sunny weekend!
