Inspiring word
This weekend we packed down our old studio – and moved to our new studio – and I found out that I collect papers and magazines like a mad women! – fortunately I´m also very good at clearing my clutter – but it seem like I have a week spot when it comes to paper! Another thing I collect like a mad woman is inspiring quotes – and this one is my favorite at the moment – I hope it will inspire you too. Found via Lotta Agatons great blog. Another thing I would love to share today is a post by Grace from Designsponge about Online Ethics Etiqutte - since I think it´s a must read for all bloggers – and I´m thankfull someone took the time to write all these words about all the unwritten rules about blogging.
Crisp Eyecandy
During all my research lately I came across this wonderful photo – and I just love the crisp & fresh spring colours in it. It´s from Ikea´s blog Livet Hemma, where the editors blog in Swedish about their inspirations and share some great “behind the scene” shoots . As a child I always used to wonder how they found all these perfect Ikea homes for their photo shoots - and here´s the secret!

Tables & Walls
Yesterday we got the keys for our new studio – and it looked so great with freshly painted walls and floors in all white. We are measuring and researching like crazy these days – and things are slowly falling into place. Here´s a result of my research on workplaces where the tables are mounted on walls. We are facing a very busy year both of us – and will need some extra hands – and this is how we plan to make space for our new helpers! So if you have a passion for design, art, typography, trends, photoshop and great coffee – feel free to send us your C.V regarding freelance work or an internship.
Amazing Angkor
I´m trying to extend our holidays a little so here´s another travel post – eventhough it´s difficult to describe the grandeur, harmony and beauty of Angkor Wat in Cambodia. Angkor was the largest preindustrial city in the world and once held a population of 1 million people (when London´s population was only 40.000 people). And the temple Angkor Wat is the world’s largest single religious monument. We all fell pretty silent walking around the structures, studying the beauty and the craftmanship this place holds. We spent 2 days in a row driving around the huge area with our private Tuktuk drivers – which was a big hit with the kids – and after seeing this amazing place I´m afraid we will be pretty hard to impress in the future. I highly recommend a visit once in a lifetime – either by bike or Tuktuk.
Moodboard – New studio
I´m impatiently waiting for Line to come back from her holidays – so that we can start planning our new studio space. While waiting I´ve been collecting lots of inspiration and putting together some moodboards. So for the next weeks to come I´ll post about stuff related to interiors and offices spaces – so stay tuned – I might also need your advice! I love the prints, patterns and textures above – and how a white room really make the colours pop. Photo 1. Desire to Inspire, 2. Muuni 3. Designsponge 4. unknown. Have a lovely weekend!
Asian Impression
Here´s a few more photos from our trip – I just love all the colours and contrasts that Asia offers – Flowers at the hotel in Siam Reap, Buddha in Angkor Wat and New Years decorations in Chinatown, Singapore.
This week I have a new illustration published - I love how the layouter used it in the magazine – and the fact that it was done while I was enjoying myself on the beach in Thailand. I wish for more cooperations like that this year.
Hello again!
We came back form a wonderful and relaxing trip to Thailand & Cambodia this weekend. Today is my first day at work – and I plan to make it a short one. I hope you all had a great and relaxing holiday and will have a wonderful new year 2011. I would like to share a few more photos from Thailand and Cambodia on my blog in the days to come – so that you also can soak up some colours and sun – is that ok with you?
