New rug & new wishes

Ever since I´ve posted about this lovely flat – I´ve been looking for a nice ethnic kilim inspired rug for our flat – and today was my lucky day! I visited The Vic Shop here in Aarhus and bought the beaty above right away. I also would have liked to take all of the Tom Dixon designs above home with me – especially the wooden dinning table and bench. So I´ve better get back to work now and start saving! Take a tour around The Vic Shop here – and have a lovely Halloween weekend!

COS store in Aarhus

The new COS store in Aarhus is opening today – only 300 meters away from our flat – and I´m soo exited to see the new shop and consider just moving in! I love their styles and their instore look and can easily see myself sitting in the Poeten Sofa designed by Finn Juhl reading magazines- wearing some of the styles above.

Edinburgh Snapshots

I promised to share some photos when back from Edinburgh – I didn´t take a lot though – it was too cold to take my hands out of the pockets – or maybe I was just to busy taking it all in. Loved the city and the surroundings and just walking around and around. There´s still so much to see and try – so I´ll be back again for sure – didn´t get enough of the place and not even enough High Tea, Pints  and salt & vinegar chips this time!

Pretty Orchids

I´m back at work after a great trip – and a very relaxing week. But I´m feeling cold and tired today – and need some eyecandy like the orchids above, which I captured some years ago in the Botanical Garden in Singapore. I´ll go back there this Christmas and already look forward to our next travel and some sun!

Autumn Holidays

This is my last day at the office before our Autumn Holidays next week. I´ll spend next week in Edinburgh and really look forward to this holiday and to visiting Edinburgh for the first time. We have started to read Harry Potter for our daughter to get in the right mood and I´m so ready for a nice hotel room, High Tea, shopping and walking around with my camera. I´ll share some photos when I get back in a weeks time – and wish you all a great week – holiday or not.
As a small gift to my lovely readers I´ve turned my illustration above ( without text) into a free desktop wallpaper. Enjoy!

Wooden Birds

In my last post I suggested that you add some animals with your Autumn decorations – and I took my own advice and ordered this wooden Chaffinch to the left, made by hand by british illustrator Matt Sewell. A tiny piece of art if you ask me – isn´t it special?

Autumn decorations

Here´s a few simple ideas on how to decorate for fall – and you really can’t go wrong because all the colours match so well! So go for a walk – pick a few branches – and add some kind of animal and you are all set! The pictures are from this weekend which also included a visit from friends who cooked us a 5 meal course in the summerhouse – and the most amazing night sky including 2 falling stars. I´m so ready for a new week and for my wishes to come true…

Have a colourful weekend

I´m not the first to post about designer and illustrator Owen Gildersleeve´s amazing work. But when a guy sits down and cut leaves out of paper it´s worth sharing – you can download them as a Iphone wallpaper via Poolga.com. Or you can try to create something similar at home. I wish you all a colourfull weekend :)

Dots & 101 posts

Here´s some pretty dots that recently caught my eye while browsing. Felt garlands from Etsy, Poketo bag for Target & sequin-dress by Diane von Furstenberg. I also just noticed that this is my post nr. 101 here on my new site & blog. I sometimes miss my old blog  and don´t really know why – so if you miss it too and know what you miss, please let me know !!?  You can find my old blog here.

Just dreaming

I´ve just noticed that this flat is for sale here in Århus – so I´m just daydreaming a little this morning – because I could move right in without changing a single thing – apart from my income :) The flat even has a roof top terrace, a bath tub and a gas stove – so what more can you ask for? and what makes you daydream? Update: I just found the link from when the flat was featured in Bo Bedre. Photos by Bjarni B. Jacobsen.
