From our Open Studio
Here´s a little glimpse from the studio this weekend, with my easter decorations in front – and Lines paintings in the background. We had so many sweet guest from near and far – and really enjoyed opening our doors to the public – and to our small front garden.
Tak til alle de søde gæster som kiggede forbi Kærlighedsstien i weekenden – det var skønt at have jer i baghuset!

A new Must-read blog!
It seems like the the Danes have FINALLY discovered the joy of blogs of blogging – and the number of new danish blogs have exploded over the last months. The new blog by Claus Dalby is one of the best news! – especially if you love flowers and gardening like me. When I grew up Claus Dalby was the local magican in my home town – and since then he has used his magic powers to create this garden & home above here in Århus. I love to walk past his place as often as possible because it´s so spetacular and beautiful. And the fact that the house above is also the home of his publishing house Klematis, which publish numerous books about gardening, crafts & childrens books – makes it all truely magical – and it´s all on my wishlist! Enjoy! Photo by Claus Dalby
Happy Hours
Our home has been full of guest, presents, flowers, food and joy over the weekend – and I´m just sitting here feeling so thankful. THANK YOU!
And my upgrade to version 4.0 feels so good!
Free DIY Easter Eggs
I´ll be really busy for the next couple of days celebrating my 40th B-day and my daughters 6th B-day. So while I´m busy and having a small blog-break I think it´s time to share my little DIY Easter Eggs & Rabbits. They are made with some of my repeat patterns and are super simple to make.
Print them out on thick A4 paper – cut them out and mix & match. Glue 2 eggs together with a piece of sewing tread in the middle – or make a string of eggs – et voila! The rabbits are a bit more tricky – so I´ve made a front and back version of them. Cut the front first – glue it to the back of the rabbit and cut the back afterwards.
You can download the front here and the back here. Have fun!

Spring greeting
Just a little spring greeting from me to you – because it seems like spring has finally sprung!
Så blev det alligevel sæson for gækkebreve i år! klip klip!

Book Cover Inspiration #1
I recently discovered The Book Cover Archive which is an archive of book cover design and designers. It´s a place where you can easily spend way to much time browsing books - like in a real bookstore – the only thing missing is the lovely smell of books and paper. This time I picked these very graphic covers with lots of contrasts, hand lettering and simple yet strong looks. Don´t they look tempting? And yes I really think you can judge a book by it´s cover!
Impatient Paper Flowers
To celebrate the 2010 International Women´s Day I would like to share this simple DIY-idea with you. I came up with this idea when I looked at my cherry blossom branches which I´m impatiently waiting for to bloom. I cut some simple paper flowers which are both quick and easy to make. See the drawing above for the size, and start by cutting a hole in the size of the branch – then cut 5 petals around the hole – and wrap the flower around the branch – you might have to vary the size of the hole from branch to branch. I used plain white paper – and painted a yellow circle around the hole on some of the flowers – I think thick paper will work great too. Happy Womens day and have fun cutting – and if you have any questions please let me know.
P.s After I posted this I suddenly realized where my inspiration also came from. Last month at Formland I saw these flowers by PFISK, and loved the idea – so if you don´t enjoy cutting – you can buy these - which are a bit more sturdy than paperflowers. Inspiration is everywhere – sometimes I don´t know where it came from – but when I do remember - I want to give credits.
